This pattern is known as
"chaining'' and is very
impressive when the colors
are multi-hued.
Here is an example
of a young marbled
kitten, whose
pattern is starting
to open up. As an
adult, the darker
lines become
chaotic swirls.
You can see a
"bull's eye" on this
kitten's side.  This
is from a trait that
is carried in the
traditional tabby
pattern. It is
undesired in show
kittens, but not a
reason for
disqualifying.
It took us a while to
determine if his kitten was
going to be spotted or
marbled. His pattern was so
chaotic, we couldn't tell if
he had very large spots or
chaotic marbling.  By this
time, he was 4 months old
and we knew for sure.
This is probably the most
beautiful Brown Marbled
Bengal I have ever seen.
His mahogany, black, and
tan markings are so striking
that everyone who sees him
is awed. Notice there is no
bull's eye on his side.  His
personality is even better
than his looks!
