Snow Bengals
"Snow" Bengals are white Bengal cats, with dark-colored spots and markings.
Like Siamese and Himalayan kittens, most are born without markings, or with
very faint markings.  Their spots and markings will develop as they age,
sometimes not being completely developed until they are over a year old. The
coloring continues to darken as the cat ages, with some snows looking very dark
as older cats. This is the result of an albino gene that causes the same coloring in
other Colorpoint animals. Snows are divided into Mink and Lynxpoint categories.
Lynxpoint Bengals have blue eyes, and tend to be lighter in color than Mink
Bengals.  Mink Bengals have green or aqua colored eyes and tend to be darker
hued than the Lynxpoint Bengals. We have had Seal Lynxpoint and Seal Mink
"Snows" at Bell Book N Bengal.  Snow patterns are Spotted or Marbled, and the
pattern requirements for show status are the same as for other Bengal colors.
