Newborn Snow
kittens, the 3
Lynxpoint kittens
are very white
compared to their
darker Mink
siblings
At eight weeks, the color is beginning to show at the tail, ears, nose.  The spots are very faint,
but will gradually become more defined. Note the deep blue eyes. This color will often fade to
a pale blue, though the deep blue is preferred for championship.
At 10 weeks, the spots are
more noticeable. It is now
obvious this baby will be
spotted and not marbled. Eye
color is still very blue,
making it sure that this baby
will be a lynxpoint, and not
a mink.
At a year old, this young girl's spots
are very clear. She was born entirely
white. This is our Princess Belle.
Here, Belle is 5 years old.  Her spots
are becoming less defined, as her
body color darkens with age. Her
points are still not as dark as her
Mink brother, Prince Beau.
And now, at 8 years old, Belle is
clearly a spotted cat.  Fully
matured, and spayed for several
years, she has a thick, soft coat.
Another Lynxpoint spotted
girl, Sedona Sky, has more
brown to her coloring, and
larger spots.  Both girls
are considered Lynxpoint
in color despite the
disparity of body and
pattern color.
